Tamworth is a city in the New England that straddles the Peel River and is the name given to the NSW Legislative Assembly Electorate that stretches from the Mount Kaputar National Park in the north to Ben Halls Gap National Park in the south, and from Tambar Springs in the west to Niangala in the east. The total area of Tamworth Electorate is 16,416 square kilometres. The Tamworth Electorate includes Gunnedah Shire, almost all of the Tamworth Regional Council, and parts of Liverpool Plains Shire and Narrabri Shire Councils. Tamworth Electorate is known throughout New South Wales for its high quality agricultural produce, the Tamworth Country Music Festival, AG-QUIP Field Days, mining industry output and as a fantastic tourism venue that specialises in eco-tourism centring on the large koala populations in the region. As the Duty MLC for Tamworth it is my role to assist you with matters that need addressing by the NSW Government or Parliament. Health, Education, Roads, Water Infrastructure, Policing and Regional Development are the important issues to the people of the Tamworth Region that I as the Duty MLC represent.
